The Hidden Hoard Treasure Hunt is an exciting, real-world adventure that takes place across Blackpool. Participants solve clues, explore iconic locations, and race against others to find three hidden hoards. The first three individuals or teams to unlock the final code and reach the final location win cash prizes!
2. How do I participate in the treasure hunt?
To participate, simply purchase a ticket through our website. Once registered, you’ll receive details on where to start the hunt. On the day of the event, follow the clues provided to find the hidden hoards.
3. What are the prizes?
The prizes for the Hidden Hoard Treasure Hunt are as follows:
1st Prize: £500
2nd Prize: £250
3rd Prize: £100
The first three participants or teams to successfully unlock the final code and reach the final location will win these prizes.
4. Can I participate as part of a team?
Yes! You can participate as an individual or as part of a team. If participating as a team, make sure all members are registered and have purchased a ticket.
5. How difficult is the treasure hunt?
The treasure hunt is designed to be challenging but fun. It involves solving puzzles, following clues, and exploring various locations in Blackpool. We recommend bringing a smartphone and being prepared for a day of adventure.
6. How long does the treasure hunt take?
The length of the treasure hunt depends on how quickly you solve the clues and navigate between locations. On average, it could take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours, but it could be longer depending on the difficulty of the clues and your familiarity with the area.
7. What do I need to bring?
We recommend bringing the following:
A fully charged smartphone with internet access (for scanning QR codes and entering answers).
Comfortable walking shoes.
A pen and notebook for jotting down solved puzzles ( You will need these later )
Water and snacks.
A sense of adventure!
8. What happens if I get stuck on a clue?
If you get stuck on a clue, you can request a hint through our website or by contacting event support. Hints may be limited, so use them wisely!
9. What if I can’t find a QR code or a clue is missing?
If you’re unable to find a QR code or believe a clue is missing, please contact event support immediately using the phone number or live chat provided on the day of the event. We’ll assist you as quickly as possible.
10. Can I use public transport during the hunt?
Yes, you’re welcome to use public transport, such as trams or buses, to travel between clue locations. However, the use of motorized vehicles or drones is not allowed to ensure fair play.
11. How will I know if I’ve won a prize?
If you’re one of the first three participants or teams to unlock the final code, you’ll receive immediate confirmation on the website, along with instructions on how to claim your prize. You’ll then need to head to the designated prize collection point to receive your award.
12. What happens if there’s bad weather on the day of the event?
The event will go ahead in most weather conditions, so please dress accordingly. However, if severe weather is forecast, we may need to postpone or cancel the event for safety reasons. Participants will be notified as soon as possible if this happens.
